WICKLOW TRAVELLERS? GROUP CLG
Wicklow Travellers Group is a community development organisation of
Travellers and settled people working together to promote human rights
for Travellers and create a society in which we are different, equal,
confident and valued. The organisation aims to empower Travellers and
our work is based on principles of adult education, community work,
youth work and positive physical and mental health promotion We seek
to achieve awareness, recognition and celebration of Travellers unique
identity and culture and to empower Travellers in Wicklow and its
environs to enhance their quality of life.
PART-TIME ASSISTANT CO-ORDINATOR
CO. WICKLOW PRIMARY HEALTHCARE PROJECT (**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS

PURPOSE OF JOB:
* To assist the coordinator in the work of the County Wicklow Primary
Healthcare Project
* To promote primary healthcare with Travellers in County Wicklow
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* An overall knowledge of issues affecting the Traveller community,
particularly around health and well-being
* An in depth understanding of the National Traveller Health Plan
* An understanding of Traveller culture and diversity
* Experience of recording and reporting
* Good experience using Microsoft Office
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work as part of a team but also on own initiative
* A flexible approach and be willing to get involved in all aspects
of the work of the project
